Featured Presentations
Each month, we're going to highlight selected presentations from the upcoming World Event. Our first selection is entitled "Leveraging Oracle Replication to Support Global Design Collaboration" and will be presented by Tom Brosius of John Deere.
Here is the thumbnail for this presentation: Are your European users complaining about the performance of accessing Pro/ENGINEER model data in the U.S. database? Are your U.S. based engineers frustrated with how slow it is to access design data in your Asian operations? Learn the basics of Oracle s powerful replication tools and how to apply them to PTC applications such as Pro/INTRALINK and Windchill PDMLink to improve performance in a global environment. We will analyze the concepts of single master and multi-master replication, then discuss in depth the techniques of installing snapshot and asynchronous replication. This presentation will provide the details needed to implement Oracle replication with Pro/INTRALINK.
Our second featured paper is "Managing Large Assemblies Within a Rigid Product Development Environment" by Anthony Mahynski and Tim VanderLugt of Herman Miller.
Discover how to manage large assembly configurations using Pro/PROGRAM, simplified reps, skeleton features and other advanced tools. Learn to use Pro/PROGRAM in non-traditional ways as well as leverage simplified reps creatively. We will examine the impact of long product life cycles, very complex product offerings, multiple downstream users, and project team interaction in this type of large assembly management.
You can read about these and over eighty other presentations at www.ptcuser.org/2005/
