Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's Call for Papers for the PTC/USER World Event. The competition was quite stiff; over eighty abstracts were submitted for the consideration of our evaluation committee.

All abstract submitters will be notified of their status shortly, and the preliminary conference agenda will be published toward the end of next week at our web site. Please check there for details!

Free License Tracking Tools
One of the most important tasks for a system administrator is tracking software licenses and their usage. Licenses represent a huge investment for a company, but it is often difficult to get a real picture of usage, and furthermore, to account for that usage among personnel and design teams.

Edwin Muirhead has just release a free administrative package called CADminTools that enables you to monitor license usage, store all your users, servers and data in a linked database, create graphs of usage trends, and much more. It was originally designed to track licenses of Pro/ENGINEER®, Pro/INTRALINK®, Pro/MECHANICA® and
SDRC® I-DEAS™. Over time, Edwin plans to add support for additional CAD software.

Developed on Edwin's spare time, CADminTools is an open-source project and as such, anyone is free to use, distribute and modify the software as long as the copyright notice and disclaimer remain. Furthermore, improvements and enhancements can be contributed by anyone. The project is maintained on SourceForge including released files, forums and documentation.

Contact Edwin at www.cadmin.co.uk for more information. You can also go to the CADminTools directory at sourceforge.net/projects/
