No Surprises on Training Needs

Thanks to those of you who participated in our Training survey last month. Your responses have been forwarded to PTC so they can plan appropriately for the Precision Learning courses to be offered at the PTC/USER World Event in Dallas this June.

The results did not reveal many surprises. On the Windchill side, respondents indicated a small preference for Windchill PDMLink training over Pro/INTRALINK 51% to 40%. Windchill ProjectLink came in at 9%.

For Pro/ENGINEER topics, voters chose large assembly management as the biggest training need (30% of respondents) with top-down design (20%) and behavioral modeling (18%) also polling favorably. Users also suggested the following topics that were not listed as choices on the survey: routed systems, Pro/MECHANICA, ProductView, mechanisms and miscellaneous migration issues.

It Ain't Over Till It's Over
The deadline for the 2006 Call for Papers has passed, and we are now evaluating all of the submissions to make our final selections. However, if you missed the deadline and still wish to submit an abstract for the World Event, please contact Ted Bradshaw at ted@ptcuser.org. Depending on the topic, we may be able to consider your proposal. Winners will be announced in February. Good luck to all!
