Want to know about this year's presentations for the PTC/USER World Event? You can now download the preliminary agenda in PDF format, complete with thumbnail descriptions of the abstracts. Our offerings for 2005 are incredibly deep, with topics ranging from geometric tolerancing and dimensioning, to behaviorial modeling

Featured Presentations
Each month, we're going to highlight selected presentations from the upcoming World Event. Our first selection is entitled "U.S. Army Future Combat Systems - Advanced Collaborative Environment" and will be presented by Col. Steve Bristow, U.S. Army, and Richard Crispo of Boeing.

Here is the thumbnail for this presentation: The U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) Advanced Collaborative Environment (ACE) is a web-based environment for sharing, collaborating, integrating, accessing and controlling management information, product information and technical data defining the FCS Program. This presentation will highlight how the ACE, powered by Windchill ProjectLink at its core, is serving the needs of a broad, distributed Army and contractor community as well as establishing a framework for future collaborative systems within the Army.

Our second featured paper is "Making PTC's Product Development System Work In A Complex Design Environment" by Keith Marchand of Asyst Technologies Inc. His thumbnail description is as follows:

Much progress has been made in the CAD and PDM systems arenas in recent years. Where vendors have fallen short is in bridging the gap between these two worlds in a seamless and configurable manner. PTC's PDS (Product Development System) is a revolutionary leap in their product offering aimed at solving this problem.

Come learn how Pro/INTRALINK, Windchill PDMLink and the Gateway have been implemented at Asyst Technologies to create an automated PDS from Pro/INTRALINK through ERP and how PTC's latest technology will be used to radically enhance this environment and further expand it to our supply base providing secure capabilities for working collaboratively with both design and manufacturing partners.
