Jeff Zemsky of PlugPower has been elected to the PTC/USER Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large. Jeff has been active in the Technical Committees and currently serves as chair of the Windchill Solutions TC. He joins Secretary/Treasurer Jane Demmer of John Deere as the second of two new board members elected for 2005.

As some of you are aware, Rick Snider will be stepping down as Executive Director at the end of September. He will assume a reduced role focusing on the annual World Event and group communications. Rick has been Executive Director since 1997. Kevin Johnson will remain as the sole Executive Director with expanded responsibilities including group strategy and operations.

New RUGs Forming in Washington DC, Eastern Tennessee
We wish to welcome two new regional user groups to the PTC/USER family! Jason Wheeler at Modern Forge is organizing the new Thunder Valley RUG covering the eastern Tennessee area. Their first meeting will be held October 14 at the Eastman Lodge at Bays Mountain in Kingsport, TN. For more information, contact Jason at JasonW@ModernForge.com. Also, a new group is forming in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia area. Contact Jamie Maizel via e-mail at jamie.d.maizel@xdin.com if you are interested in particpating.
