Just as PTC has grown into the leading global supplier of MCAD software, Pro/USER, Inc. has become increasingly international in its activities. Today over 70 Pro/USER Regional User Groups are operating around the world. These local grassroots organizations are dedicated to the same mission as Pro/USER, Inc.—providing education about PTC products while promoting the free exchange of information among users.

Pro/USER’s International Conference, traditionally held in the United States every June, offers an unequaled opportunity for attendees to gain productivity-enhancing knowledge about using PTC software products. With over 80 PTC product line managers and applications engineers on hand for this event, conference goers get direct answers to technical questions as well as a preview of the newest enhancements to PTC software products. Representatives of Pro/USER’s Industry Partners—companies that provide hardware, software, and service solutions— are also available to demonstrate their latest innovations. And perhaps most important of all, attendees have a variety of ways to learn from each other’s experience, whether through formal presentations or through informal discussion groups.

2001: Berlin, Germany
Bringing so many resources together in one place is unquestionably valuable, but the location of the annual conference in the United States remains a barrier for our growing membership outside North America. In recognition of this obstacle, Pro/USER and PTC have initiated a major effort to make these benefits more truly international by sponsoring the first annual European conference for PTC software users. This event is scheduled for May 21-22, 2001 in Berlin, Germany.

The European conference will have the same scope and deliver the same productivity-enhancing value as the US conference. In deference to the diversity of European users, sessions will be presented in multiple languages. In future years, the location of the European annual conference will shift to different cities across the continent.

Looking Forward
With planning well under way for major conferences in Germany in May and the USA in June, Pro/USER is poised to deliver unprecedented value to ever-greater numbers of users of PTC software. Also in the works is a strategy to bring the same scale of educational resources to PTC product users in the Asia/Pacific region. Pro/USER’s goal is thus to assure the benefits of an international conference to users of PTC software around the globe.
