PTC/USER Welcomes Two New Members to the Board
Ted Bradshaw and Evan Caille

PTC/USER welcomes two new members to its Board of Directors—Ted Bradshaw and Evan Caille. Although new to the Board, Ted and Evan are well acquainted with the PTC/USER community. We look forward to drawing upon their extensive expertise to better serve our membership.

Ted Bradshaw of Lucent Technologies is PTC/USER’s new Director of Education. Ted is well known in the user community as an expert in design practices and as an outstanding presenter at PTC/USER conferences. He has been working with the Pro/files staff to improve the quality of published technical information, and has assumed responsibility for soliciting and reviewing papers submitted for the PTC/USER World Event in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Ted holds two degrees from Texas A&M University. He began his career performing structural analysis and design in the aerospace industry. For the last 15 years, he has worked with technology involving large assembly design and management, advanced modeling and complex surfacing. He has proven out many innovative time-saving procedures working as the technical resource for the University of Alabama CAD technology transfer program.

Evan Caille of Compaq joined the Board in December 2001. Evan has participated in PTC/USER for many years, beginning as a charter member of the Modeling Technical Committee. He has since become an active member of the Data Management Technical Committee, serving as vice chair in 1997-1999 and chair in 2000-2001. Evan will work with PTC/USER Board members Steve Black and Pierre Quesnel on TC issues and assist Ted Bradshaw with conference presentations. Evan is the manager of Compaq’s mechanical CAE group, which provides technical support and training for a number of mechanical CAD/CAM/CAE and PDM applications. Prior to joining Compaq in 1990, Evan worked in the aerospace and telecommunications industries, developing and implementing computer-based design systems. He has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. Evan currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Computer and Automated Systems Association of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (CASA/SME).
