Now that July is here and the PTC/USER World Event 2006 has concluded (whew!), we have an opportunity to recap this year's record-breaking event. The extensive coverage includes our cover story based upon Dan Marsalek's conference presentation.

Congratulations to Dan Glenn of Solar Turbines, the new President of PTC/USER. Dan has long been a member of the user organization, most recently working hard as the Director of Technical Committees. Frank Strieffler of Lockheed Martin now holds that post.

In this issue, we also cover PTC's acquisition of Mathsoft, and how that may impact existing customers. And of course, Tips and Tricks offers some great technical advice from top users in the field. Have a terrific summer!

Best Regards,
